It’s midnight here in Barcelona and I’m lying in bed, it’s where I always am now as moving is just too painful.
I have to try and lie still and breathe shallow breaths as deep ones make my ribs dislocate more, the pains excruciating yet I need to wean off the post op pain medications too.
I’d planned to do things this week, like go to the fountain and the aquarium and see Barcelona again, however I’ve been going into adrenal crisis from the pain of just going to the bathroom in my chair!
My blood sugar is dropping so low before my steroid doses that it’s undetectable on the monitor and I can’t keep my eyes open.
Tomorrow we’re trying a new steroid to see if it helps control the adrenal insufficiency side of things but in reality I need to win the lottery… to pay for another surgery and fix this broken body of mine before it becomes even worse.
To be honest I don’t even know how I’ll get home like this… I can’t sit for any length of time without going into crisis. And I don’t know how to raise the funds in time, on Monday I’ll find out what can be done surgically and how much it will cost… but we’d only planned to stay until Thursday.
So basically …I need a miracle ????
If anyone has any ideas or can spread the word to help get funds in fast I’d be eternally grateful.
I’ve come so far and got so close… it’s heartbreaking
